The 2011 San Fernando Valley Children's Day is happening Saturday all day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Woodley Park in Van Nuys.

Among the sponsors of the event is the Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council, the Neighborhood Council Valley Village and Los Angeles City Councilman Tony Cardenas. According to its Web site, over 50,000 kids are expected to attend.

The event will feature: a Sports Village, a Creative Arts Village, an Education Village, a Neighborhood Village, a Health & Safety Village and a Career Village.

The event will also feature Radio Disney, ESPN X Games, Lil' Jordan, Nancy Cartwright (the voice of Bart Simpson), ESPN Deporte, 40 Gourmet Food Trucks and over 100 resource booths, including New Directions for Youth.
