Check the information here in a press release from Laemmle:

Join Laemmle for a special Martin Luther King Jr. Day screening of the classic 1961 adaptation of A RAISIN IN THE SUN with Sidney Poitier at our brand new NOHO 7 theater in the heart of the North Hollywood Arts District.

The screening is free to the community.  To attend, RSVP at this link -- http://www.laemmle.com/rsvp1.php?mid=164 -- and follow the on screen instructions. Please arrive early! Seats are not guaranteed and are given on a first come first served basis.

A life insurance policy becomes a catalyst that will forever transform the lives of an African American family living on the south side of Chicago, as they consider buying a house in Clybourne Park. Their shared dream of a better life collides with conflicting aspirations, betrayal, and racism.

The film shines an unflinching spotlight on America's struggle to overcome its past and pays tribute to those courageous enough to shape a future filled with an abiding faith in the fundamental decency and unlimited capacity of the human spirit.

"Sidney Poitier is on fire, as usual ... The struggle to triumph in the face of adversity transcends the film being pegged as a civil rights picture, and thanks to the leadership of Poitier, a classic is born," raves Christopher Null of FilmCritic.com.

The screening is sponsored by Ebony Repertory Theatre's impeccable stage revival of A RAISIN IN THE SUN directed by Phylicia Rashad. In her Los Angeles directorial debut, Rashad (who won the 2004 Tony Award for Best Actress for A Raisin in the Sun) brings heart, soul and a flawless cast to a production the L.A. Times says “seems more timely with each passing decade.”
