Korenstein Students Win Science Fair

The elementary school students win an educational trip to the Santa Monica Mountains.

Students from Julie Korenstein Elementary School are among the winning teams of the 22nd Annual LA's BEST Celebrate Science Fair and have earned the prize of an educational trip to the Santa Monica Mountains.

Korenstein's team is among 17 others out of 60 that showcased their knowledge and research skills by presenting projects to judges with backgrounds from Amgen and the California Institute of Technology to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).

The students will get a free three-day trip to the NatureBridge Institute at Santa Monica Mountains.

LA's BEST, which stands for Better Educated Students for Tomorrow, is an enrichment program that was founded in 1988 and serves 28,000 students ages from 5-12.
