Walk Score Rates North Hollywood's Walkability

The community fares well than most Southland neighborhoods on an assessment that grades how far local amenities are from a specific location.

So I guess I can't rely on the old "I can't get anywhere around LA without my car" excuse anymore.

North Hollywood is one of the better communities in the greater Los Angeles area when it comes to getting stuff done around town on foot, according to Walk Score.

The neighborhood earned a score of 74 on a walkability scale, meaning "most errands can be accomplished by foot."

How ratings are doled out: Scores ranging from 0-100 categorize large cities and their inner neighborhoods by a specific location and its distance to close-by amenities like parks, banks, grocery stores and more.

Overall, North Hollywood placed 22nd on a walkability list of 94 communities throughout the Southland.
