1: Head to Bob's Espresson on Saturday for "A Rockin Hanukkah." Celebrate Hanukkah with Poppa's Kitchen (Actor Robert Romanus' band, of Fast Times at Ridgemont High fame) as they perform songs from their album A Rockin Hanukkah. Free show starts at 7:30 p.m. 5251 Lankershim Blvd.
2: Elaine Bernstein Partnow will be portraying the great lyric poet Emily Dickinson in an interactive program on November 30, 2013. "A Visit with Emily Dickinson" in an informal gathering wherein Miss Dickinson comes to call in her famous white dress, amusing audiences with anecdotes of her life in 19th century in Amherst, Massachusetts. She recites many of her much-loved poems and engages in lively repartee with audience members This one hour program is followed by a Q&A for those who wish to stay. We expect this event to be a sell out so purchase your tickets soon.
Tickets are$12 and can be purchased on line atwww.uustudiocity.org, or $15 at the door.
Doors open at 7PM for a no host bar and complimentary appetizers. All proceeds go to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Studio City. Child care will be provided.
