Actress Alison Janes Re-Launches Web Series

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Actress/singer Alison Janes is back with her popular Web series “The Finer Things in Life,” set to relaunch in February.

“I’m thrilled to bring back ‘The Finer Things in Life’ for another season of fun, tips for the single girl and my own quirky take on single life,” said Janes, who created, produced and stars in the series set to re-launch on Feb. 17 on YouTube.

Known for her role in the TV series “One Day,” and “Morbid Minutes,” Janes is putting her comedic talents to the forefront as she offers advice on love, career, finances and family, to name a few. With practical experience in hand, Janes offers up advice and her own quirky musings on the state of the world.

“I try to give useful advice but also entertain and give viewers a fun look at how you can enjoy what life has to offer,” she said.

Having launched the show in 2012, Janes’ “The Finer Things in Life” grew in popularity as fans flocked to see the latest installment of the show. But as she grew busier with other projects, Janes took a year-long break from the show and is now returning for a slate of new and quirkier episodes.

A New Hampshire native, Janes is known for her work in such films as “Vox Lumiere’s Phantom of the Opera,” “Matters of the Heart” and others, as well as such stage productions as last October’s “Marilyn… Madness & Me,” where she received rave reviews for her portrayal as Marilyn Monroe. Her other work includes “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “Sweeney Todd,” “Pirates of Penzance,” and many others.

Thanks to her gifted operatic voice, Janes has performed here and around the world with opera companies such as Vox Lumiere, Utah Opera and others. “Music is such a powerful means of communication, and having the opportunity to commune in that way with an audience has taught me so much about the human experience,” she said.

A graduate of DePaul University, Janes found success on the Chicago stage rewarding, but her goal was to come to Hollywood and make her mark, and so far, so good. She has recently completed work on the films Louder than Words and The Deep End.
