Jacqi Bowe to Hit the Stage at Flappers

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 13, 2013) – Comedian Jacqi Bowe is taking her comedic talents to Flappers Comedy Club, 102 E. Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Featuring a slew of hilarious characters she portrays, Bowe brings her hilarious “Jacqi Bowe’s Not Quite Herself” to the stage with a comedic whirlwind of music, wacky women and outrageous observations on the world around us.

“I love bringing out these crazy characters that have something interesting to say, but in a wacky and sometimes bizarre way,” she said. “It’s a truly funny show that is a lot of fun to do, but is also a visual treat for the audience to watch and enjoy.”
By portraying such characters as a nun, a life coach, a French mademoiselle, a Jewish janitor and a redneck, Bowe gives her take on everything from relationships and family to those nutjobs at work and elsewhere.

Having earned her degree in Theater Arts at UCLA and a past winner at the Carol Burnett Awards, Bowe has made her mark on stage, the silver screen and television and worked with some of the more notable names in television. She has tap danced with Gregory Hines and the legendary Sammy Davis Jr., performed with Tim Conway as well as traveled with the national tour of multiple Tony Award-winning musical “A Chorus Line.”

Most recently, Bowe has also starred in a half-hour comedy pilot, “In The Soup” in which she played a type-a CEO from New York who retires with her husband in Lancaster and decides to try funneling her cyclone energy into community service. Her solo show, Emotional Garage Sale, with charming characters, original music and comedy has received rave reviews. Bowe studied improvisation at Second City and Bang Theater.
