North Hollywood Pediatrician to Ride on Kaiser Permanente Float and Share the Message of Total Health
Dr. Myra Bastidas is a pediatrician at the Kaiser Permanente North Hollywood Medical Offices. She's a 'Kaiser Permanente Baby' - born at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center – and is now taking care of a new generation of Kaiser Permanente babies.
Bastidas chose a career in medicine because she wanted a career that would allow her to combine her interest in human physiology and her desire to help others. She also believes in the power of education and healthy role modeling, an important aspect of her responsibilities as a pediatrician, and personally, in her role as a mom.
When asked about the rewards of being a pediatrician, Bastidas said, "I feel honored to be entrusted with the lives of children and to be able to ensure that they remain healthy at every stage of their lives."

Dr. Bastidas will be among the riders on “First Steps to Total Health,” Kaiser Permanente’s 2014 Rose Parade® float entry. Kaiser Permanente believes that babies who have a healthy first year will grow up to be healthy children, teens, adults and eventually become thriving seniors.
