Orchard Supply Hardware Hiring 100 Retail Employees for Newest Los Angeles Location This Winter

Orchard Supply Hardware (www.osh.com), a neighborhood hardware and garden store, today announced a hiring event for approximately 100 new associates for a variety of full- and part-time as well as temporary hourly positions at its newest Los Angeles location, which is expected to open its doors to customers in early January. The most recent neighborhood hardware and garden supply site is located at 415 S. La Brea Avenue (between Davis Drive and E. Kelso Street) and will encompass approximately 30,100 square feet of indoor selling space and approximately 3,800 square feet of outdoor nursery and garden space. Orchard Supply Hardware currently operates 70 stores throughout California and two in Oregon.  The company employs over 4,500 people across its stores, distribution center and headquarters.


The retailer is currently looking for full- and part-time department leads, sales associates, home improvement specialists as well as individuals with nursery backgrounds and specifically experience working in urban gardens. In addition, the Orchard team is offering a number of second and third shift inventory specialist roles. While candidates are not required to pre-apply for positions ahead of the hiring event, they are certainly encouraged to do so as it will speed up the registration process. Walk-ins will be prioritized on a first come, first served basis. Store management will be on site conducting interviews and, in many instances, will be ready to make offers to select candidates that same day. Orientation for new hires is expected to begin the week of December 9, 2013.
