Hope Walk for Healthier Lifestyle Returns June 8

The event is geared to promoting healthier choices to families.

The Children's Obesity Fund's annual Hope Walk and Activities Fair returns to North Hollywood Park on June 18.

The 13th installment of the event will feature the traditional 5k walk around the neighborhood and displays where youngsters and their parents can learn about healthier food choices.

"The need for health and fitness awareness resources is tremendous, and we hope that the HopeWalk and Kid's Healthy Activity Fair will give community members the tools they need to begin healthy lifestyles," Lydia Floyd, executive director for Hands for Hope, one of the event's organizers, told Fitness.com. says Lydia Floyd for Hands for Hope. "We want to thank the Children's Obesity Fund and the Omidi brothers for their help with this event, and we hope it is a success for everyone involved."

Registration for the walk starts at 8 a.m. on June 8 and the 5k walk begins at 9 a.m. at Magnolia Boulevard and Tujunga Avenue.
