New Mural Popping Up in NoHo

NoHo's wasting no time in putting up public art since a citywide ban on murals was lifted back in August.

The Lofts at NoHo Commons commissioned a 200-square-foot painting on one of its fences located just outside of 24 Hour Fitness, according to nohoartsdistrict.com

The project is being funded by property owner Scott McCarter, while supplies were funded by the San Fernando Valley-based 11:11 A Creative Collective.

Plans were presented years ago for the artistic effort, but were ultimately placed on hold because of the city's mural ban.

Artist Wiley Wallace will be working on the mural through Friday and the public is invited to watch.

Do you think there should be more murals in NoHo? Where would be a good location for a mural?
