As many as nine teenagers traveling as a group reported feeling ill aboard a Delta Airlines flight that landed at Los Angeles International Airport today, possibly the result of food poisoning.
Paramedics were sent to Terminal 5 around 11:20 a.m. to meet the aircraft, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The teens may have become ill from eating something before boarding the airplane, Humphrey said.
Fire officials said the teens had mild to moderate illnesses and would likely be released to their parents.
Marshall Lowe of Los Angeles World Airports said the flight, Delta flight 1392, originated in Guatemala City.
