VIDEO: UCNH Jaycees Again Bring Holiday Joy and Toys to Needy Families

A local organization hands out presents to less fortunate kids on Christmas Eve.

It's pretty much a holiday tradition nowadays for the Universal City/North Hollywood Jaycees to spend Christmas Eve doling out toys and other gifts to needy families.

Some Jaycees dressed up Monday morning as Santa Claus for the event, now in its 11th year, and delivered presents to less fortunate families in the area or handed them out to those who stopped by a holiday party at Los Angeles Valley College.

About 40 families received presents donated by volunteers and various sponsors.

"We're working with families who otherwise would not have a Christmas," said event coordinator and UCNH Jaycees President Wendie Wilson-Miller.
