The Bald and the Brave: Firefighters Shaving Heads to Fight Cancer

The fundraiser is benefiting St. Baldrick's Foundation, which is aimed at fighting childhood cancer.

Los Angeles-area firefighters will once again shed their locks Saturday in hopes of raising money for childhood cancer research.

At North Hollywood's Station 89, firefighters will voluntarily have their heads shaved, while all are invited to enjoy a free IHOP pancake breakfast as well as Magic Castle magicians, face painters, celebrity guest barbers and more.

Fundraising benefits St. Baldrick's Foundation. The event is from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those who cannot attend can make an online donation or by telphone at 888-889-BALD.
