Earth Day Event Livens Toluca Lake Farmers Market

Locals came out for a bike ride, local produce, a petting zoo, and recycled art.

The normally was bustling with residents at Sunday's event sponsored by Los Angeles City Councilmember Tom LaBonge and the Greater Toluca Lake Neighborhood Council. Cyclists completed a 7.5-mile route around the neighborhood, while a petting zoo entertained children and adults while vendors offered a fresh selection of produce. A collection of recycled art designed by local elementary school students was displayed near the entrance of the market.
