Join master screen print artist Paul D’Elia (Quiksilver, Screenin 4 A Change) in a special interactive artist appearance at Cella Gallery. D’Elia will be demonstrating the basics of screen printing, answering questions and inviting guests to collaborate on a special installation that will be featured in his upcoming solo exhibition: “Strange Obsessions."

Answer the question: What is your strange obsession? and you may be included in the interactive art installation on view at Cella Gallery from Sept. 22 - Oct. 13 2012. All art materials will be supplied by the gallery.

Artist Paul D’Elia is best known for his work with California surf company Quiksilver as the head designer of their popular men’s line of t-shirts. Fans of independent punk most likely have D’Elia’s work adornin the cover of any number of albums from Blacklisted to Modern Life is War.

Under his company name,Screenin 4 A Change, D’Elia has produced hundreds of gig posters. Over one hundred of these limited edition posters were part of the wildly successful “Something from Nothing” exhibit held in Los Angeles in
2010.

D’Elia’s solo exhibition, opening on Sept. 22 from 7-11 p.m., marks his long awaited return to Cella Gallery in NoHo. The show titled “Strange Obsessions” features all new work including large scale prints and collage, along with a large interactive installation piece.
