New Shorts Fest Coming to Skinny's Lounge

Starting next week, local filmmakers will have a weekly spot in NoHo to showcase their short films.

Italian director and creator of entertainment company 7-Waves Leo Foti is launching Shorts-n-Stuff on Monday at Skinny's Lounge as a way to bring nearby talent together.

"I believe it’s important to help provide a space for people to meet each other and to collaborate on projects," he said. The ‘Shorts-n-Stuff’ film festival is an awesome way for local filmmakers and performers to highlight their work to different audiences, but to also meet others in their industry.”

The premiere Shorts-n-Stuff short film festival will feature short films It’s Not You, It’s Me by Matt Spicer, The Opportunity Office by Chelsea O’Connor, Matt Devino’s Handsome Police, Sposini by Nick VanDevender, and “The Elevator,” by Greg Glienna (writer of “Meet the Parents”).  Live comedians will be Arantza Fahbulleh, Brett Riley, Chaz Rodgers and Tahir Moore.

Skinny’s Lounge is located at 4923 Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood. Red carpet begins at 8 p.m. with the first screening scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Admission is free, and guests must be 21 or older.
