Toluca Lake's Pumpkin Patch Returns Sept. 28

The annual event features a petting zoo and a maze.

The Toluca Lake Pumpkin Patch returns Sept. 28 right next door to Toluca Lake Florist for a month of Halloween fun with a maze, petting zoo and more.

The annual tradition has carried on for more than two decades.

Also making a comeback is the artwork of Bobby Ross, who, since 2005, has scattered the patch with his paintings of classic Halloween characters like Frankenstein as well as his own spooky creations.

The Hollywood-based artist uses spray paint and acrylic paint and describes his work as "street art with edge got vibration in it."

"You can feel the movement of traffic when you see the artwork," Ross said.

In addition to the excitement for being for another year, Ross said he's looking forward to a new addition to the petting zoo.

"This year, there's a new goat, a little pygmy goat," he said.

The Toluca Lake Pumpkin Patch will run daily from Sept. 28 through Halloween and operate from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Entrance is fee, but the petting zoo will cost $4 for entry, $5 if you also want some food to feed the animals. Tickets for the maze are $5.

Pumpkins ranging from two to 150 pounds will also be on sale.
