Valley Film Fest and All Sports Film Fest Happening in NoHo Arts District

There's still time to check out the movies scheduled for Sunday.

Two unique film festivals are happening this weekend in the NoHo Arts District.

Valley Film Fest

The annual Valley Film Fest is taking place at the Laemmle NoHo 7 this year and Sunday is the final day of the festival.

Eleven short films and the feature A Few Best Men will be showing at selected times throughout Sunday before the festival culminates with an awards ceremony at Gallery 800 at 7 p.m.

The mission of the Valley Film Fest "is to further the education, production, and distribution of filmmaking in The Valley, with a goal of bringing together established filmmakers, emerging talent, and their audiences on the studio backlot - just North of Hollywood," according to its Web site.

All Sports Los Angeles Film Festival

The fourth annual All Sports Los Angeles Film Festival returned to the El Portal Theatre on Friday and concludes Sunday.

The film festival's mission is to "promote the art of screenwriting and filmmaking in the world of sports and competition," according to its Web site. 

The festival features dozens of sports-themed films of many genres, including documentaries, feature films and short films. Ten shorts and the feature length Dream Racer are scheduled to be shown Sunday.
