Valley Film Fest Returns Next Week to NoHo

More than 40 films, with some shot throughout the Valley, will be screened over five nights.

The 13th Annual Valley Film Festival will get comfy at the Laemmle NoHo from Nov. 13-17 as dozens of movies focusing on the 818 and a few other genres are to be screened.

Some nights will focus on feature films like the thriller, The Activist, while there will also be an evening of shorts running under the theme of "Girls on Film."

Other feature length titles to be shown include Virginity, The Golden Scallop and Satan's Angel: Queen of the Fire Tassels. The latter title is part of the "Valley After Dark" program.

General admission for each night is $12 and a full program with instructions on how to purchase tickets can be found here.

The mission of the Valley Film Fest "is to further the education, production, and distribution of filmmaking in The Valley, with a goal of bringing together established filmmakers, emerging talent, and their audiences on the studio backlot - just North of Hollywood," according to its Web site.

The Laemmle NoHo 7 is located at 5240 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood.
