Valley Village TV Executive Inspired by Autistic Son

Lisa Katz will walk during the LA Autism Walk for her 7-year-old son

LOS ANGELES – Valley Village resident Lisa Katz, 20th Century Fox TV Senior VP Drama Development, knows about the obstacles and challenges of being a parent to a child with autism and will walk in support of the autism community during Los Angeles Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the Pasadena Rose Bowl during Autism Awareness Month. 

Katz’s son Sam, 7, first began showing signs of autism at 2 years old.

The Katz family will be walking at the 12th annual Los Angeles Walk Now for Autism Speaks event at the Pasadena Rose Bowl, as one of an expected 50,000 people uniting to show their support for autism research and awareness.

Katz has walked for over five years with “Team Greenbean,” a team raising over $400,000 in much needed funds in 2013, and the top fundraising Autism Speaks’ walk team in the nation, spearheaded by Team Captains Andrea Lee and husband Ari Greenburg, a television packaging agent and board member at WME, the largest talent agency in the world, and an Autism Speaks’ board member.

Now in the first grade, Katz’s son Sam currently receives speech therapy, occupational therapy, and learns adaptive skills in a supportive environment.
