A July 22 arraignment date is scheduled for 50 Cent, who's facing misdemeanor charges for allegedly injuring an ex-girlfriend and destroying more than $7,000 worth of property, the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office announced Wednesday.
The 37-year-old rapper -- whose real name is Curtis Jackson -- is charged with one count of domestic violence and four counts of vandalism.
Jackson is accused of kicking open a bedroom door and kicking the woman - - whose name was not released -- after she locked herself inside a bedroom at a Toluca Lake condominium during an argument on June 23. He also is accused of destroying an estimated $7,100 in property.

Los Angeles police officers called to the scene saw broken chandeliers and broken furniture throughout the woman's condominium, and found a ransacked bedroom closet with her clothing thrown all over the floor, along with a broken television and lamp, according to the City Attorney's Office.
Jackson allegedly left the scene before police arrived.

If convicted of all counts in Van Nuys Superior Court, the rapper could face up to five years in jail and $46,000 in fines, according to the City Attorney's Office.
"Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office," said City Attorney Mike Feuer.
