Apartment Complex Construction Underway at Camarillo and Tujunga

A 40,000-square-foot apartment complex dubbed Porotofino Villas is currently under construction at the intersection of Camarillo Street and Tujunga Avenue, right next to a Starbucks Coffee.

The project is being developed by L.A.-based AFCO Development, which has several residential complexes located around the city dating back to the early 1990s.

The new project includes 31 units, which includes two low-income housing units, is expected to completed in about a year, said development firm principal Frank Afari.

The Tusscan-style structure will be three stories tall and include amenities like a gym and a courtyard, Afari said.

Each two-bedroom unit will encompass about 1,100 square feet, though a rent price has yet to be set, he said.
