Gugu's Tacos Reopening as Juval's Kitchen
The small Mexican restaurant is getting a new name, but not much else is changing.
It might not be as controversial as Henry's Tacos fight across town to stay open, but Gugu's Tacos on Vineland Avenue is reopening under new management this week.
The small Mexican eatery was sold earlier this month and, following some remodeling work, is slated to open as Juval's Kitchen by Tuesday or Wednesday, said Co-owner Julio Juvenal.
Some new menu items are planned, but traditional offerings like tacos, burritos, quesadillas and tortas will still be available, he said.

And the paintings of the flirtacious blonde as well as the Hollywood sign on the side of the building aren't going anywhere either.
"I love that," Juvenal said.

Juval's Kitchen is his first foray into ownership after a career in restaurant management.
