Lotus Vegan Moving to Lankershim Boulevard

The Thai-vegan joint is reopening at a bigger location.

Thai-inspired is moving from Vineland Avenue to a new spot at 4715 Lankershim Boulevard.

The restaurant is closed until it reopens for business Thursday at a unit twice as big as the former location, said co-manager Brian Guihan.

"We also have an adjacent parking lot [for 10-15 cars] there will be plenty of metered parking, all around it's a better location for us," he said.

Guihan said business has been good since Lotus Vegan opened four years ago and that the eatery established a loyal customer base.

"Fortunately we were successful enough to move into this location . . . we couldn't have done it without our customers," he said.

Some local monks will bless the new Lotus Vegan location Thursday shortly after opening at 11 a.m., a tradition typical tradition in Thailand, Guihan said.

Some of Lotus' signature dishes include its organge chicken and fried lemon shrimp, according to Yelp reviews.

Lotus Vegan's menu can be found on its website.

I live on Kling right across the street from the new location. The location is better and the surroundings are decent, not sure why you describe the area as "unattractive". The new location is a step up from the old.

Won't miss them at all as their customers park up my residential street and leave litter. Kling street: its now your problem.

Congratulations to Lotus Vegan and well deserved. One of the best cafes in L.A. if you ask me. Great food, great service, always consistent. Organic, vegan, big portions, healthy and tasty food for sure. Even my mom loves it, and she's not vegan. Been going there for years, and will continue supporting them wherever they are. I wish them much success in their new location, and plan to visit soon.

Love Lotus Vegan. A little sad they're moving from Vineland since that's the street that goes through the heart of NoHo. I'll admit though that it was always hard to find parking to eat there. Maybe the new location will be better.

The stretch of Vineland where Lotus used to be is in big-time need of an overhaul. Lots of broken down, boarded up places. There seems to be no interest in this area at all. I hope that changes.
