Metropolis Bikes Ranked Among Best Cycling Shops in the Country
A biking association recognizes a local business.
North Hollywood's Metropolis Bikes made cut for the nation's best bike shops in a recent list compiled by National Bicycle Dealers Association.
The shop was given the honor among 170 stores nationwide out of about 4,000 overall.
"They have been referred to as the 'Oz of Bike Shops' for their wildly creative design space and presentation, and for incorporating this sense of fun into their store and brand," the blurb read. "It goes without saying that Metropolis has a passion for bikes."
A few secret shoppers' experiences helped lead to the recognition.
Store owner Brad Wasser shared nothing but gratitude.
"We are really pleased to have been recognized in this way," he told Patch. "SoCal is a very competitive market, and making the cut is an honor. It's how we want to do business every day."
Metropolis Bikes is located at 4660 Lankershim Blvd.
