Mini-Cheesecake Shop Replacing Grilled Cheese & Cupcakes

A family-owned business in Glendale is bringing its creations, like red velvet and salted caramel, to a storefront in Valley Village.

What was once a cupcake shop in Valley Village is reopening as a mini-cheesecake joint at the end of January.

Pacific Cheesecake Company is moving from its Glendale location to the former site of the Grilled Cheesecake & Cupcake Company inside a strip mall at 4820 Laurel Canyon Blvd.

Owner Steven Freeman, who runs the business with his mom and brothers, says there are 120 family recipes for the 2-inch cheesecakes and that 30 of them would be served at any given time.

Red velvet, banana chocolate, salted caramel and sweet lemon basil are among the most popular flavors, he said.

Pacific Cheesecake Company has a four-and-a-half star rating on Yelp. Wrote one reviewer: "Delicious cupcake sized cheesecakes in very creative flavors. The family that runs this shop clearly do it for the love of the art."

Cookies and brownies will also be available, but no coffee.

Hours of operation will likely be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

It's not the best location, Glendale is probably better for foot traffic, and why no coffee? God luck, I love cheesecake, will stop in now and then. Internet sales would be very good for them to supplement income.

They are an established biz. They do internet sales already. Check their website. The flavors looks amazing. :)

Super happy to see mini cheesecakes coming to VV! And within walking distance, to perhaps burn off a few of the calories I'll surely be enjoying soon! :-D

Dear tbs, Deon Coles black box is the worst tv show ever. Though it is hosted by a black man, it'sRead More a show based on pointing fun and rude Racist jokes directed toward black people. If there was a white host it would be considered racist but because a black man was appointed to be host , you might have figured we wouldn't be offended but we are and I can't speak for all but I feel like resist jokes aren't ok regardless of who is telling them and I would like tbs to take down this show or atleast change the points in the show ! -signed, Kalil Stimpson

First of all, Bill, a funniest new comic in LA NOT being gay would be news. In addition, being aRead More comedian myself, I can tell you most gay comedians are not as bigoted as you suggest.
