Pacific Cheesecake Company Opens For Business

Red velvet is among the most popular flavors.

Valley Village's first mini-cheesecake shop was welcomed to the neighborhood with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday.

A small group gathered at Pacific Cheesecake Company, located inside the Laurel Canyon Plaza, for the event and free samples.

"This center has been very busy, everybody has been really nice," says Steven Freeman, who owns the business with his brothers, Jacob and Mike, and mother, Karen.

The business relocated from Glendale and had a soft opening about four weeks ago. So far, red velvet is the most popular flavor, along with lemon basil and cookies and cream.

Pacific Cheesecake Company is open from 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Sundays and Mondays and from 8:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays.
