Umami Burger Opens as Successor to Papoo's Hot Dog Show

Papoo's Hot Dog Show may have shuttered last year, but a new tenant that's moved in and now open is keeping up the tradition of serving up hot franks.

Umami Burger's new Burbank location is the chain's first to serve hot dogs with ingredients like truffle and lots of bacon, similar to its burger offerings. Click here to read the full menu.

Other than the new menu, Umami didn't change much as far as decor goes. The neon sign atop the exterior's front is gone, but for the most part the structure resembles the look Papoo's had since opening in 1949.

The new Umami Burger is located at 4300 W. Riverside Drive in Burbank, just outside of Toluca Lake. Hours are from 11 a.m. to midnight daily.

A breakfast menu will be added in mid-August, according to Eater L.A.
