Why It's REALLY Called the Sweat Shoppe

It's already a tough workout. Those legs are pumping, trying to keep up with the rest of the cycling class. Limits are being pushed.

What's the logical thing to do at this point? Why turn up the heat, of course.

The Los Angeles Times reports of a new fitness trend that's got Angelenos perspiring more than ever and it involves getting sweaty people even sweatier to burn those extra calories.

At cycling studio the Sweat Shoppe in NoHo owner Mimi Benz only offers classes where students have to work out in a higher-than-room temperature environment.

"It improves blood flow throughout your body, so you go into a high-calorie burn more quickly," she told the Times. "And it feels really good afterwards."
