Flair Cleaners Celebrates 40 Years

Flair Cleaners, Southern California’s leading eco-friendly dry cleaning business, is celebrating 40 years of service to Burbank and Toluca Lake residents, and to the media and entertainment industry. 

“Flair is especially appreciative of the hundreds of loyal customers who have come to Flair over the past 40 years,” said Gary Futterman, owner of Flair Cleaners.  “We are fortunate to work in such a warm and caring community and have enjoyed being part of our customers’ lives.”

Having been in the community for decades Flair has shared in personal celebrations and milestones.  “Recently, we had the honor of preserving a wedding dress for the daughter of one of our clients whose own wedding dress we cleaned and preserved years before,” Futterman added.  “And, one customer told us that he celebrates both the anniversary of his first visit to Flair and the anniversary of purchasing his home in 1991 on the same day.”

Unlike some businesses today, many of Flair’s professionals have worked with the company for decades.  The most familiar include Manager Ron Roscoe who has worked at Flair in Burbank since it opened; Assistant Manager Ana Maria Lopez who has been with Flair for 27 years, and Customer Service Representative Barbara McQuown, who has worked at Flair’s Burbank store for 28 years.  The same is true “behind the scenes” at Flair’s Burbank store.  Dry Cleaner Armando Ramirez, whose father also worked at Flair, has been with the dry cleaners for 27 years, and six members of the production department have worked at the Burbank location since the mid-1980’s.  Flair’s shoe repairman, a true artisan, and three expert tailors are also among those who have been serving Burbank-area clients for more than a decade.
