UPDATE: Power Restored to Over 1,200 in Valley Village, West Toluca Lake

Crews are on the scene working on repairs.

Power was restored to more than 1,280 Department of Water and Power customers in the Valley Village and West Toluca Lake area Saturday night after nearly three hours, a utility official said.

The outage was reported at 5:15 p.m. and power was restored at about 8 p.m., MaryAnne Pierson of DWP said.

"It was caused by tree limbs or palm fronds getting onto overhead feeders," Pierson said. "Like a fuse in your house, the system locked up."
