The outage was reported at 7:57 a.m. and its cause has yet to be determined, she said.

The source of the problem is in the 12000 block of Hesby St., said Jeremy Oberstein, communications director for LA City Councilman Paul Krekorian.

Tucker said LADWP crews are at the scene, but does not know when power would be returned.

She said she did not have the boundaries for those affected by the outage at press time.

One Patch reader and Valley Village resident said in an email that homes near Magnolia Boulevard and Colfax Avenue were without power.
