Rare summer showers were reported around Los Angeles before dawn today.
The National Weather Service reported showers around the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys about 3 a.m. and predicted scattered showers and thunderstorms through about 7 a.m.
Gusty winds may accompany thunderstorms. Lightning strikes are possible.
Forecasters predict a cloudy morning and a partly cloudy afternoon. Highs will range from the upper 60s at the beaches to the 80s in the valleys. Most metro areas will be in the 70s.
