The Packers and Steelers Face Off: Where Will You Be?

What's the Superbowl without beer and BBQ? We tell you where to get yours.

Starting today, Patch will run a new weekly feature called Patch Picks, highlighting editor and reader picks of great local businesses, destinations, services, organizations, ways to spend a day off, and more.

You’ll find useful lists to help you, your family, friends, and significant others find the best places for everything from Sunday brunch to New Year’s Eve celebrations, pumpkin patches, date night destinations, florists, girlfriend nights out, kids party places, parks and more.

Whether you're a Packers fan or rooting for the Steelers, you're going to need somewhere to celebrate (or commiserate) this Sunday as the two teams duke it out.

You could try heading over to on Lankershim; they're anticipating a rush, so reservations are required (call 818-985-2449). If you're lucky enough to bag a table, reward yourself with a helping of Heart Attack fries (warning: there's bacon involved) with your grinder.

on Riverside is holding a stupendous tailgate party in its parking lot. Staff will be rigging up outdoor TV and barbequeing meaty goodness right by the trunk of your car.  It'll feel like you're outside Cowboys Stadium, waiting for the big XLV to start.

will be slathering barbeque sauce over ribs, chicken and brisket to mark the occasion. And Bud Light's on draft for $2.75.

On Oxnard Street, the folks at plan to feed up their patrons with free carne asada and cake. If you get tired of watching the Superbowl, you can flex your own sporting muscles at the pool table, and it won't cost you a cent.

Finally, there's always down on Victory Blvd. Nothing's planned in the way of free libations, but rest assured: the game will be shown. It's guaranteed that other forms of entertainment will be on hand, too, in the form of dancing ladies.

May the best team win!
