So I guess I can't rely on the old "I can't get anywhere around LA without my car" excuse anymore.
North Hollywood is one of the better communities in the greater Los Angeles area when it comes to getting stuff done around town on foot, according to Walk Score.
The neighborhood earned a score of 74 on a walkability scale, meaning "most errands can be accomplished by foot."
How ratings are doled out: Scores ranging from 0-100 categorize large cities and their inner neighborhoods by a specific location and its distance to close-by amenities like parks, banks, grocery stores and more.
Overall, North Hollywood placed 22nd on a walkability list of 94 communities throughout the Southland.
Downtown, Koreatown, Mid-City West, Pico Union and Chinatown topped that list.
What do you think makes North Hollywood a walkable community? Is mainly because of the NoHo Arts District? What are some of the other parts of town that are easy to traverse on foot?
