Candidate Filing Begins for Neighborhood Council Elections

Elections for neighborhood councils in North Hollywood and Toluca Lake are on March 20.

There are 95 Neighborhood Councils throughout the City of Los Angeles striving to provide its communities with a voice in city government, and North Hollywood's is no different.

Candidate filing for the Mid-town NoHo Neighborhood Council, North Hollywood North East Neighborhood Council, North Hollywood West, Greater Toluca Lake and Valley Village council elections began on Jan. 4 and runs through Feb. 3. Election day is Thursday, March 20. 

Issues addressed by neighborhood councils include land use, education, transportation, public safety, budget planning, cultural enrichment, neighborhood beautification and the allocation of city services, among many others.

If you live, work, own property, do business, or are a stakeholder in the North Hollywood or Toluca Lake area, you are eligible to serve on one of the local neighborhood councils.

  1. Go to http://empowerla.org/mtnhnc/mid-town-north-hollywood-nc-2014-election/
  2. Click on File Online tab in the right-hand column
  3. Fill out the online form and click Submit.
