A Tribute to the Legendary Music of Sam Cooke starring Mike "Majik" Boyd

Mike Boyd is a prolific singer and songwriter who performs numerous styles of music. His “message music” has been changing the lives of adults and children who have been touched by its positive uplifting messages. Mike Boyd is a motivating, inspirational teacher who wrote his signature song, “I Stand For You,” to bring his message of universal humanity to everyone. Some people refer to it as their Universal Anthem.

Mike continues to tour with his own production of “Trip Down Memory Lane, A Tribute to Sam Cooke.” He has performed the music of Sam Cooke in “Legends in Concert” at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, and in “Country, Soul and Rock ‘n Roll” at the Riverside Casino and Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada. Mike’s show recently ran at Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, California, for seven consecutive months.

In 1987, Jimmy Kemp, mayor of Meridian, Mississippi (Mike’s hometown) officially declared July 3rd as Mike “Majik” Boyd Day and awarded Mike the key to the city.

Mike has dedicated his life and energy to trying to make this world a better place for all to live. He has received the Golden Star Halo Award for writing and composing his Christmas hit, “It’s Christmastime for All of Us.” Mike also appeared on the hit daytime drama “Days of Our Lives” as the character Roland for three years.
