ART UNITES 7: An Eclectic Mix of Art and Artists' Works

The
Art Directors Guild
(ADG, IATSE Local 800) Gallery 800
announces Art Unites 7: An Eclectic Mix of Art and Artists’ Works,
opening on October 19 with a hosted reception from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Located in
the heart of the famed NoHo Arts District, Gallery 800 showcases guild members’
personal art in a series of shows throughout the year. In keeping with the
spirit of “Art Unites,” Gallery 800 is also exhibiting the personal work of
members from Local 729, Motion Picture Set Painters and Sign Writers, and SDSA,
the Set Decorators Society of America.



The
Art
Unites 7
reception will feature more than 100 original art pieces, live
music featuring the jazz trio “Just In Time,” refreshments, and complimentary
valet parking. Artists participating in the exhibition include:

Art Unites 7 will
run through December 14, 2013.



 



Local 800 includes Production Designers and Art Directors; Scenic,
Title and Graphic Artists; Illustrators and Matte artists; Set Designers and
Model Makers. Members of Local 729 include Motion Picture Set Painters &
Sign Writers. Since Gallery 800 opened its doors, more than 420 ADG members
have shown their artwork in the ongoing exhibitions.

Gallery 800 is Denis Olsen, Curator and ADG Board Member; and Debbie Patton,
Manager, ADG Awards & Events. Gallery 800’s mission is to promote the works
of talented entertainment industry professionals, in an intimate venue, on a

artists are leading design professionals who through a combination of
observation, passion and imagination, bring the writer's words and the
director's vision to life in television and film,” said Mimi Gramatky,
President of the Art Directors Guild. Besides working as integral creative
members of the entertainment community, “they contribute to the fine art scene
with their personal artwork which we are privileged to exhibit at Gallery 800.”
