Autry Explorers: Celebrate American Girl (R) and Saige

In this lively new monthly series for families, come wonder, wander, and explore the history, cultural traditions, and magnificent landscape of the American West. Each monthly program features dynamic guest artists and presenters, plus hands-on museum fun for all ages.

Stop by Visitor Services to pick up your Autry Explorers Passport to journey through the West!  Collect two or more stamps at upcoming Autry Explorers programs to win a prize. Members receive FREE admission to all Autry Explorer events.

The Autry partners with American Girl to celebrate Saige, their 2013 Girl of the Year®, whose stories show her love for horses and the arts. Uncover your own artistic skills at an outdoor sketching workshop with live horses, and then enjoy a 2:30 p.m. screening of the new feature film, Saige Paints the Sky. Plus, drop in before the workshop or after the screening to create an American Girl horse collage and explore the museum galleries in a new Saige scavenger hunt.

*Please note that this program is included with standard museum admission. A pre-program lunch, scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at American Girl at The Grove, is also available. Tickets for the lunch, which includes admission to all afternoon activities at the Autry, are $36 each. Space is limited. For tickets and additional information, visit americangirl.com/losangeles or call 877.247.5223.

Presented in partnership with American Girl at The Grove and in association with the Art of the West exhibition.
