Autry Explorers: Navigating Nature

In this lively new monthly series for families, come wonder, wander, and explore the history, cultural traditions, and magnificent landscape of the American West. Each monthly program features dynamic guest artists and presenters, plus hands-on museum fun for all ages.

Stop by Visitor Services to pick up your Autry Explorers Passport to journey through the West!  Collect two or more stamps at upcoming Autry Explorers programs to win a prize. Members receive FREE admission to all Autry Explorer events.

Discover the nature and wildlife living in our shared backyard! Griffith Park Ranger Russell Brown leads family-friendly hikes, starting at the museum. Then check out a GPS from our friends at REI to participate in a guided treasure hunt on the museum grounds. The 45-minute hikes depart from the museum at 1:30 and 3:00 p.m. The GPS activity is available every 20 minutes and lasts approximately 20 minutes.
