Community invited to Join Sun Valley School in a Gift Packing Event in Classmate’s Honor
One of the many passions of
Lindsey Woodward was packing shoeboxes full of gifts and sending them abroad to
needy kids through Operation Christmas Child. With her abrupt death in 2011 at
age 14, Lindsey’s passion for packing shoeboxes lives on as her school, Village
Christian School, dedicates a shoebox packing party in her memory on Sat,
Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
This year, the Village
Christian School has dedicated the whole year to Lindsey, as it would have been
her senior year of high school. This upcoming packing party is a way that
friends, family and community members can celebrate her life.
Lindsey’s friend from
elementary school, Hayley Argo, was so inspired by Lindsey’s life and love for
packing shoebox gifts that she decided to pack them herself three years ago
starting with a goal of 10 boxes. Argo decided to lead the efforts there
of hosting a shoebox packing party in Lindsey’s honor with a goal of packing
800 boxes.
