Healing Emotional Eating - The First Three Steps

YOUR BEST FRIEND IS A LIAR... IT'S TIME TO BREAK UP!

I was an emotional eater and my best friend
was food.  I ate when I was tired, bored,
frustrated, and lonely -- even when I was happy.  Food pretended to be trustworthy by being comforting
and understanding -- but in the long run I was obese, had low self-esteem and I
was incredibly unhappy.  I came to
realize that food as my best friend lied to me.

I was not comforted without paying a big price.

My relationship with food as my best friend lasted
for years until I healed emotionally first.
After I felt better and happier and stronger on the inside and learned
to be my own best friend, I did not look to food for comfort anymore.  I was then able to stick to my commitment to
lose weight.  I broke up with my best
friend, food.  And it worked!  I lost 85 pounds in one year.  After decades of yo-yo dieting, I finally
stabilized my weight and I could not be happier.
