Ladies Night-Themed "7-Waves Shorts-n-Stuff" Film Festival & Toy Drive

7-Waves’ monthly short film festival is back for another event that will
feature the work of local filmmakers and talent, and which will host a
charity toy drive for the children’s non-profit organization Bienvenidos
on Monday, December 09, 2013 with a red carpet at 7:30 p.m. and the
event running from 8-10 p.m. at Skinny’s Lounge (4923 Lankershim
Boulevard) in North Hollywood.



The upcoming “7-Waves Shorts-n-Stuff” short film festival, themed
Ladies Night, will screen six short films, including Episodes 1 and 2 of
the web series “Act Anon,” created by Camille Thornton-Alson and
directed by Courtney Cunningham; “Girls On The Street,” written and
directed by Chelsea O’Connor; Yael Zinkow’s “Girls Are Assholes,” which
was directed by Hunter Wolk; “Death Artists, Inc.” written and directed
by Anne Hamilton; Sascha Alexander and Lara Everly’s “Little Bridal Shop
of Horrors,”; and Amy Albert’s “Game of Bones,” which was directed by
Josh Miyaji.



Live acts will include comediennes Zainab Johnson and Aida
Rodriguez, a performance by belly dancers Sababa Dance Co., dancer
Angela Todaro, along with performances by singers Katy Harvey and
Charissa Hogeland.



The charity component is being run by the non-profit organization Bienvenidos (www.bienvenidos.org),
which provides a compassionate community of care dedicated to healing
children, strengthening families and transforming communities. The
amazing girls from Miss Manhattan Beach Pageant (manhattanbeachpageant.com)
will be sending its beauty queens to help support 7-Waves in its effort
to collect toys for the local organization and the children it serves.



7-Waves (www.7-waves.com),
an LA-based entertainment company run by Creative Director and
Executive Vice President Leo Foti, who is also creator of
Shorts-n-Stuff, is producing the short film festival in association with
Tanjareen Martin and Citric Cinema Inc. Chelsea O’Connor is Programmer
of the film aspect to the festival, which highlights the ongoing work of
local filmmakers, and which adds to the unification of the local
community of burgeoning artists, directors, performers and entertainment
professionals in a casual setting.



Skinny’s Lounge is located at 4923 Lankershim Boulevard in North
Hollywood. Red carpet begins at 7:30 p.m. with the first screening
scheduled promptly for 8 p.m. Admission is FREE, and guests must be 21
or older.
