Retro Paw Wow is a dog-friendly festival that will take place Sunday, June 9, at

North Hollywood Park from 10am to 4pm
, in the NoHo Arts District.  We invite friends and families to come

and enjoy a day of activities with their pets.

Hosted by comedians Annette Harper, Jason Love, and Debra Wilson, the festival will feature a full day of fun activities.  There will be celebrity guests James Avery ("Uncle Phil" from Fresh Prince of Bel Air) and his dog Baron, a moviestar dog presentation by Buster Cornbread, a dog training workshop, a pet fashion show, chair massage, pet massage, a pet psychic, pet adoptions, vaccinations and micro-chipping, face

painting,
children's activities, a dance performance by Tanda Neelam Tribal Collective, as well as

contests and prizes.

The proceeds from the event will go to support the East Valley Animal Shelter's STAR program,

as well as provide immediately needed items such as industrial fans,

heating pads, and air purifiers for the shelter.  The event will also

promote local

rescue

organizations: A New Leash on Life, Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue, and Muttshack Rescue

Encino Veterinary Clinic and SNPLA will be distributing spay and neuter information and offering vaccinations. Local businesses are invited to

participate as vendors as we unite

the community to support rescue projects in a fun and festive way.

We look forward to seeing you (and your dog) there!
