Smoke and Mirrors

Named "Critic's Choice" in the Los Angeles Times and a “GO!” in the LA Weekly, the heartfelt comic drama featuring mind-bending magic, Smoke and Mirrors, continues its run by popular demand through Dec. 29. Created by and starring noted actor Albie Selznick (Castle, Gray's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Dexter etc…) and magician (a lifetime member of Hollywood's Magic Castle). A hit with both audiences and critics, this spellbinding semi-autobiographical coming of age story follows a boy who uses magic to escape reality after the death of his father. Interweaving fantastical illusions, special effects, audience participation and surprising appearances from the hereafter, themes of love, loss and magic are explored in a highly theatrical, stylized production that has received numerous rave reviews. "A superb magic theatrical show!" by the L.A. Times, LA Weekly calls it "a bewildering tour de force." Stage Scene L.A. says "Don't miss this mysterious uniquely entertaining show!" EyeSpyLA recommends, “It is chockfull of unexpected surprises.” And Broadway World hails it as "A magic show of the highest order…and much, much more. Don’t miss Smoke and Mirrors!"

Smoke and Mirrors continues through Dec 29, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays @ 8 pm and Sundays @ 3 pm, with a special New Year’s Eve show, Tuesday Dec. 31. Tickets are $34. The Road on Lankershim is located at 5108 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 90161. For reservations and information, call 310-450-2849 or go to www.smokeandmirrorsmagic.com.
