The small but mighty Solters produces this
hysterical, eye-opening, heart-wrenching, and provocative piece for the
fifth year.  Proceeds are donated to the local
charity, Peace Over Violence (POV), formerly known as the Los Angeles
Commission on Assaults Against Women. POV is a social service agency
dedicated to building healthy relationships, families, and communities free
from sexual, domestic and interpersonal violence. Visit them at www.peaceoverviolence.org.

This is V-Day Studio City's first year appearing at The Federal Bar. Doors open at 7 pm for dinner and drinks, the show begins at 8 pm, and the audience is invited to join the cast for a private after party following each evening’s performance. Check out their amazing menu at thefederalbar.com

The Pleasure Chest and Jopen continue their tradition of sponsoring a pre-show adult raffle and fake orgasm contest. Body Vision Los Angeles, the country's premier gold body jewelry company, joins V-Day Studio City this year as a benefactor.

Tickets are $20 cash at the door or in advance at ticketweb.com. The event sells out fast so it’s best to secure seats ahead of time!

Maxie became incredibly passionate
about V-Day while attending USC, and was determined to continue
raising awareness after graduation. In the fall of 2009, she returned to her
hometown and created V-Day Studio City. V-Day and The Vagina Monologues have
changed Maxie’s life, and she has in turn become a
powerful influence behind their sister campaign, One Billion Rising.

“People say college is about finding yourself," Solters says, "I
discovered an inner strength and confidence since becoming part of this
organization. I’m honored to work amongst the most inspiring women I've ever
met, all of whom are still incredible friends today. One of the best parts
about V-Day Studio City is getting to spend time with the amazing cast every
V-season.”

Maxie’s involvement in V-Day has taught her not to fear
speaking out even if others shy away. “It reminds me how lucky I am to be
able to talk about these issues while others across the globe are forced into
silence. The movement encourages women to speak out, proving that we
really can make a difference.”

V-Day is growing at a rapid pace throughout the world. It is currently in 130
countries from Europe to Asia, Africa and the Caribbean, and all of North
America. The non-profit organization distributes funds to grassroots, national,
and international groups and programs that work to stop violence against women
and girls. In 2001, V-Day was named one of Worth Magazine's "100 Best
Charities," and was named one of Marie Claire Magazine’s Top Ten Charities
in 2006. The 'V' in V-Day stands for Victory, Valentine and Vagina. http://www.vday.org
