L.A. Fire Department Invites You to Shave Your Head

For a cause, of course. It's to show solidarity and raise money for children with cancer.

Los Angeles-area firefighters will once again shed their locks Saturday in hopes of raising money for childhood cancer research.

At North Hollywood's Station 89, firefighters will voluntarily have their heads shaved, while all are invited to enjoy a free IHOP pancake breakfast as well as Magic Castle magicians, face painters, celebrity guest barbers and more.

The event, in connection with the St. Baldrick's charity, runs from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Station 89, 7063 Laurel Canyon Blvd.
