Blog: Stress Relief Found with Sherry Patterson, an Esoteric/Metaphysical Acupuncturist

A new practitioner to The Green Man staff is Sherry Patterson LAc, a licensed acupuncturist.  

During a recent event I was able to meet her and have a specialized treatment for stress relief.  

It was unique to have three standard treatments listed to choose from: Stress Relief, Crown Chakra Pattern, and Indigo Triangle Pattern, as Sherry has focused her treatment patterns to very specific functions.

The stress relief treatment focuses on general pain relief and calming the mind. I have had a significant amount of acupuncture treatments, by a wide array of practitioners, and I must say that Sherry has a light and effective touch with the needle placement. Sherry was the first practitioner I visited with that day and her treatment certainly set the stage for calming and centering before the visits to other practitioners.

Sherry specializes in Esoteric and Metaphysical acupuncture; this actually means that she is using the tools of acupuncture to manifest growth, insight and well-being in all the realms of human experience, not just the physical body. This more subtle and higher-frequency healing goes beyond the physical symptoms of a disorder or ailment to balance and strengthen the underlying body systems. Working with the metaphysical realms of spirit and soul clears and calms the mind, making it more receptive to the higher planes of existence.  Metaphysical Acupuncture can literally help you on your path to Spiritual Growth.

When I asked about how she found this manner of practice, she told me that her origins were in a Western Medical Orthopedic practice. She found that many of the patients were not responding well to the standard treatments, so she looked for a more integrated and effective way to provide relief from disease and discomfort.  In her search she found and trained at Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica. Her training also includes Reiki energy work, and she uses Bach Flower Essences to enhance treatments. She is also a certified Holistic Life Coach and finds that bringing all these protocols together helps provide a deep and lasting change to a client’s well being on all levels: Spiritual, Mental and Physical. She is also highly experienced in providing you with the protocols and treatments provided by conventional  Western Medical Acupuncture.

Sherry has been pleased to find and become part of The Green Man community, and looks forward to working with a variety of clients.
