Volunteers will take part in several hundred service projects across the Southland as part of the three-day "Big Sunday.'' Projects include school improvements, painting, cleaning and tree planting.
Friday's projects include "sprucing up" in North Hollywood.
, and on Sunday is collecting: E-waste (anything with a cord), disposable diapers, new underwear and socks (children and adults), toiletries (shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpase, etc.) gently-used children's books, gently-used board games, gently-used clothing, shoes and new school supplies. Additional on-campus activities include: a lemonade stand, a bake sale, arts & crafts, and letter-writing to service men and women overseas.
